A large selection of wonderful guided meditations. Her other CD is also fantastic. I listen to at least one guided meditation a day to calm me down and leave me in a wonderful relaxed state of peace and bliss. They vary in length from 9 min to 20 min so you can easily incorporate a session into a busy schedule.
I absolutely love these meditations. And to me they are actually much more than meditations. Many important messages I haven't heard expressed in these ways before that are already beginning to help and I will listen again and again. Maybe even when doing laundry etc. to be calm, centered, and let the messages sink in more and more until I can use them automatically. I'm glad to see this is on audible because I would like to listen on a nature walk or even a walk around the neighborhood (or maybe I'll try one of her other audios for that). Probably not how the author meant for them to be used but I think they can be used as meditations, or to listen to any time. there are 2 CD's included. I also appreciate that each meditation/ topic is printed on the CDs kind of like chapters if you're looking for a particular one although the font is very tiny and a bit hard to read. Wish I had this years ago and so glad I found it.
I didn't like this meditation CD. I was looking for something peaceful to make me relax and forget my worries. At least one of the meditations forced me to visualize what was bothering me and meditate on it. It left me feeling anxious and shaken. I also didn't like the ring sound between meditations. It startled me out of the meditation. This may be what others are looking for and it may help in the long run, but I was looking for gentle relaxation and relief from anxiety which this cd did not do for me. I did find her voice very pleasant. If only I had liked the meditations.
I love the topic of mindfulness. This CD is the best and I would give it 10 stars if I could. Tara's voice is very relaxing. I've read mindfulness books and they contain too much information making it's hard to grasp. Tara explains it in 3-4 minute segments that makes it easy to grasp and relate to. And her meditations are lovely and relaxing. .
Tara Brach has a very soothing voice and this has become one of my favorite meditation CDs. As someone who has meditated to Jon Kabat Zinn for years, I would highly recommend it.
the comentary by the person who created this can put you to sleep instead of helping us to better ourseves by mindfulness. The only one track I found helpful concerning dealing with pain, that allows you to sleep. I would never buy this person's cds again.
More instructional than I thought it would be. Very little actual meditation sessions.
Doctor Tara Brach's meditation's are excellent. Anyone interested in looking within to understand life's challenges could benefit from these meditations.
