This book is excellent for quite a few reasons.The biggest reason is how Masterson lays out the path from direct response master and jack of all trades to the point where one is managing each segment of their 9 figure business. It will show you what to focus on and where the most common pitfalls are. There is very little fluff. In fact, many of his recommendations are quite specific compared to most business books. (AND I've READ 100's)Masterson's book is probably my favorite business book so far. My second favorite is the Millionaire Fastlane and Unscripted. It seems clearer and clearer to me that people with direct response backgrounds will give the most actionable insights compared to other authors.In short, this is the type of book for someone who wants their actions to make an impact. It is not a feel good pat yourself on the back sort of book. I'm sad I put off reading this book for so long.
Best business book I've ever read. The author lays out a really clear gameplan on how to take your business through the stages of 0 to 1 million in revenue, 1 to 10 million, and 10 to 100 million. I'm in the middle of these stages right now and the strategies from this book gave me lots of actionable takeaways to take my business to the next level. It's not a bunch of academic theory, it's real world advice from someone who has done what he's writing about.
I enjoy reading books like this. I readily admit that I don't produce results that bear any resemblance to what is discussed in the book - but knowing that these kind of things are possible keep me going in the work that I do. I helps me expand my thinking, consider what I can change up, and what I can make better. If you're a small business owner in an business that has potential to be a big business, this is exactly the sort of book you want to be reading. Even for those of us who are perhaps more "self-employed" (we own our jobs) rather than "business owners" (we own a business that can run without us), it is eye opening and a very worthy read.I certainly do not at this time own any businesses ever likely to break the $100,000,000 mark (much less in "no time"). Even so, I found the book an excellent read and it helped shift my thinking about the businesses and professional practices I do own.
This is a straight forward step by step "get'r done" book on building your business. Everything from "all hands on deck" selling your business, not just salesmen, to using only a 4 page business plan. Very realistic approach. Even though I'm nowhere near 1 million...yet! I can reference this book when I go from 1 to 10 million. I highly recommend this book to entrepreneurs and even million dollar companies that may be stuck in a rut.

This is the first book that I've read by Michael Masterson and I came away quite impressed. Michael did a "masterful" job in laying the blueprint for the evolution of a small business into a large corporation (if that's your goal)I am currently a Stage 1 business owner, and I found his advice refreshing. There's a lot of theory being promoted by so-called experts in entrepreneurship. The problem with it is that the overwhelming majority of these "experts" have no experience actually growing a business. They focus on the things that don't really matter like getting a pretty website or company brochure.Instead, Michael reminds us that in the beginning, making sales is everything. He correctly states that at least 80% of your time should be spent on selling/marketing and only 20% on everything else. Once you're making sales as a Stage 1 business, you have the resources to address your other business needs.Another great point that he made was when he said, "To be consistently successful, you need to anticipate the market, not follow it." This will enable you to become a market leader instead of a "Me too" competitor.In addition to that, Michael talks about the importance of testing. Too many entrepreneurs make the mistake of wasting a lot of money and time on an idea that is going nowhere. Had they tested the concept first, they could have come to the conclusion that their idea was a bad one a lot sooner and saved money, and more importantly time.As a result, I choose the cover of my new book by letting the market decide on two designs. The cover I chose was the runaway winner and it wasn't the one I thought would win. It was a great reminder that YOU are not buying your product, the market is and you should let them tell you what's the winning idea.I have read and continue to read a lot of business books but this one was one of the most practical, timely, and valuable books that I have read in a long time. I will continue to use this book as a resource for years to come.

I don’t normally leave book reviews and my library is large. How did I not hear of this book before 2018 is insane!! I’ve had it for about 3 weeks now and I keep replaying sections 1 and 2. I recommend it to all of my entrepreneur friends. This is the “Think and Grow Rich “ of business books. In a nutshell—you’d be foolish not to buy this. It’s the blueprint for any business regardless of what stage you’re in!!
